Hence, his action offers some clues at least to the human action which will be demanded for the redemption and restoration of human marriage within the totality of God’s saving work. Two partners in marriage have to consider that, in spite of romantic views of one another, both are sinful and therefore their love will also have to be grace on both sides, a love for someone who really does not merit love.
